Book Review: First Hundred Machines

Friday, December 1st, 2006

This book is not taxing to the reviewer as it consists of sixteen pages of stiff board, including the covers. Each page, or double spread, is devoted to pictures of different types of transport, with bright pictures of planes, cars, boats, lorries etc. It is nicely produced and will no doubt stand up to being chewed by its readers, as well as looked at, since it has been prepared to withstand “repeated learning fun”. It is presumably produced for an international market, as the machines come from several countries, the commercial vehicles being largely American. This will not be a problem for the readership. A nice Christmas present. A lot more on www.priddybooks.com .
