An interesting article covering a wide area of interest. I am interested in developing the concept of a therapeutic intervention. Whilst the article suggests the possability of having a written philosophy as a starting point, I take this further in my practice. As an organisational consultant working in the child care environment I ask clients to stipulate their:
1.Theoretical underpinning to practice. (excluding other practice)
2. The practical practice employed (with training supporting material)
3. The process of recording outcomes (consistent quantifyable data)
4. The process of analysis of data (including the R and D function)

Clearly their is more to the context of child care than this, however I bevieve that the state should not place vunerable young people inside processes and environments that does not publish their pracice, processes and outcomes. The outcomes should of course be acceptable and set against the stated placement plan.
